  1. Gian says:

Thanks,it’s working well on my imac 2017 (intel) with MacOS Ventura!
Is it normal that it’s not possible to update the antivirus database and that it’s impossible to check updated version of the software using the file menu?

  2. Tropical.Jit says:

Finally… this was first out on rutracker.org

  3. Edd says:

    WOW, it worked charm!
    Thanks for the update.

    Cheers

  4. Fam says:

Bruv, hellooo????? Update I’m begging youu

  5. Tropical.Jit says:

    On Ventura, this works:
sudo codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app

OR, If you downloaded from the app store:
sudo codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac-MAS.app
    I wouldn’t download this, I’m still waiting for 4.13.2.

  6. tony says:

Now happens that cleanmymac is auto updating to version 4.13.x and is asking for activation or buy.
    Any help with this?

    Thanx

  7. Alessandro says:

Now I understand why I failed to run every single code! If I copy the command directly from the terminal, the double dash is been copied as a single one.

To make it clear, the code should be “codesign – -force – -deep -s – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app” WITHOUT THE SPACES

    “codesign –force –deep -s – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app”

  8. Alessandro says:

I struggled more than necessary but eventually found the solution, hope it helps.
Not a single comment here mentioned that THE CODESIGN COMMAND NEEDS TWO DASHES IN THE FIRST TWO OPTIONS, OTHERWISE IT WILL APPEAR AS A SYNTAX ERROR. THE SOLUTION IS:

    “codesign –force –deep -s – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app”

    Have a good day everyone!

  9. Babe says:

guys it is double dash to fix the crash issue.
Open terminal after you dragged the app into application folder and type in:
    codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app

    • babe says:

the double didnt work in my initial comment so ensure it is dwo dashes – – without space (– force — deep etc)

  10. HmmChamp says:

If you have tried the codesign method and it still doesn’t work:
    >>> Find the app location, right-click on the file, and select “open with rosetta”

*Some may not have this automatically enabled
*For reference: I’m using an M1 mac air

  11. Kyle says:

The below worked perfectly for me on terminal.

sudo codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app

  12. fdms says:

works great with SIP enabled using these 3 commands:

sudo codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app

sudo codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app/Contents/Frameworks/MacPawAccount.framework/Versions/A/Resources/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac4.dylib

    sudo codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app/Contents/Library/LoginItems/CleanMyMac\ X\ Menu.app/Contents/Frameworks/Sparkle.framework/Versions/A/Resources/.MacPawAccount.dylib

  13. rudi says:

    Link file doesn’t work

  14. Tropical_Jet says:

codesign –force –deep –sign /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app
error: The specified item could not be found in the keychain.
    Please Help!

    • Tropical_Jet says:

      With two dashes…
codesign –force –deep –sign /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app
error: The specified item could not be found in the keychain.
      Please Help!

  15. Tropical_Jet says:

error: The specified item could not be found in the keychain.
    Please Help

  16. Darklod says:

    codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app

  17. P says:

    Does not work!

    • Late Night Kitten Claws says:

You need to ad hoc the application because after Ventura codesign will not work. To do this follow these easy steps!

      1. Click on the dmg file you downloaded and then drag the file inside to your application folder.
      2. Open your Finder and go to Applications. Leave this open.
      3. Open Terminal
      4. You need to disable Gatekeeper. This is what keeps you from opening third party apps. Copy and paste this into the Terminal WITHOUT QUOTES “sudo spctl –master-disable”
      5. ENTER YOUR PASSWORD AND PRESS ENTER.
      6. You now need to bypass that pesky Gatekeeper to open an application without an authenticate Apple certificate. To do this you will paste this into the terminal WITHOUT QUOTES “spctl developer-mode enable-terminal”
      7. Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy, scrolling down until you see an entry for “Developer Tools”, authenticate and then tick the checkbox next to Terminal. Terminal will restart afterwards.
      8. Now you will paste “codesign –force –deep -s -” WITHOUT QUOTES into terminal but DO NOT PRESS ENTER YET!
      9. Hit the spacebar once! Then drag the app from Finder to the Terminal. This will autofill the application’s location.
      10. NOW YOU CAN PRESS ENTER.
      11. IF you followed my directions correctly, you can verify this by pasting this into the Terminal WITHOUT THE MF QUOTES “codesign -dv -r- ” drag the application to the terminal again, THEN PRESS ENTER. The signature should say: adhoc.
If it says anything else, you did this shiz wrong and you need to question your existence and why you can’t follow directions. JK JK Hope this helps!

  18. Igor says:

If v. 4.12.3 crashes just open Terminal and copy/paste this: codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app
    It helps me.

  19. Anonymous says:

Apple removed TNT’s signature, hence the app will crash. Therefore, you’ll have to sign the app yourself. Run this command in your Terminal: codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app

  20. Gus says:

Even if I’ve put all switch ON on full disk access (into Mac privacy settings) when using the clean functionality on the latest Clean my Mac on my iMac with Ventura 13.1 there are infinite messages that appears asking me to insert my Mac password again and again. Anyone can solve this?

    Thanks

  21. Fan says:

@zoli79 Can you tell me how to download other, newer versions? Who cracks these, and can you link their profile?

  22. Cristian says:

    Not working on M2 Ventura.

  23. In Terminal:

    codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app

  24. Mac says:

Thanks for the update but not working with Ventura 13.1 Intel Core

  25. trismile says:

sudo codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app

  26. Fan says:

CleanMyMac X quit unexpectedly. Please update…

  27. Ann says:

If I read in another forum, this 4.12.3 ver needs to disable SIP. Just try it, if u wanna. Me… hmm, still using 4.10.6 ver and waiting for next one maybe XD

    • Gus says:

I can say that with SIP disabled and the lates MacOS Ventura it works! But if you re-enable SIP and restart the Mac it doesn’t work anymore… so I think this is not the best way to have this software installed.
Any other way to do this?

      • ann says:

you always need to keep the SIP disable to use this, that’s why i still use the old version one, and wait for a better version from this

  28. Albert says:

This CleanMyMac X 4.12.3 is not working. The free version with 4.12.3 works fine. So there is something wrong with this download.

  29. niko says:

it’s working with macOS Ventura 13.1 , but need disable the “System integration protection” 🙁 sadly

  30. Key Peele says:

If it ain’t TNT; it’s not worth downloading.

  31. Raksmey says:

    Not working with M1 Ventura

  54. alex says:

this app in Activity Monitor shows it has such heavy RAM usage plus swap… around 16GB.. is it normal? Or should I remove it ? thanks

    • tim says:

I removed it for this exact reason. Even when restricting network access of cleanmymac via littlesnitch the cpu usage of cleanmymac didn’t go down. I guess it’s just hypervigilant looking for potential threats lol

  55. Joe says:

How to use CleanMyMac X in Apple Silicon mode?

  56. Robert says:

Also Programmstart und permanente Passworteingabe.

    • juan carlos says:

      hhhhh hada maktab

    • pier says:

      same for me

    • GreenYogi says:

Lol . The general rule with Apple laptops is ‘do not upgrade your OS’.
The MBP 16″ i own came with Catalina 10.15.4 and until now i consistently dismiss the prompts to update it to higher versions, let alone to upgrade with Big Sour or Monsteray.
Why? Not because Cataloonie is great in any way but due to the facts that a) every new version of OSX looks a bit more like a gay clone of iOS and b) it works trouble free with the hardware in my machine, and i sure wanna keep it that way.
Any change to the original configuration means a serious risk to run into all sorts of ‘annoying’ issues, big and small. Gotta love Apple engineering.
Sorry for the rant Mac fanboys, but one has to face the facts and the new silicon architecture not supporting Bootcamp means i will not buy another MBP in case i outlive this one (yup, am getting old). I have learned my lesson, finally.

    • Theredmc says:

its a universal app it should have an arm64 port in the same application but it doesnt, this is the problem

  145. Lucifer says:

On 4.8.2, the ClanMyMac Menu shows “allow access to bin”. Anyone else facing the same problem? The rest of it works like a charm.

2.8.2 Still hits the fan sometimes on INTEL mac OS X Mojave reboot.

  148. Graham says:

Thanks for the 4.8.2 release, however its still the Intel version and not the Universal one for better performance on M1 Macs

  149. ali says:

Even though it’s the 4.8.1 it’s still the intel based version and not the universal one

  150. サイモン says:

Thank you so much for updating this 🥰

  151. Graham says:

Meh, still x2 releases behind 4.8.2

Also, this release is still stuck on INTEL and not UNIVERSAL for M1 Macs. This was one of the key updates they touted for the 4.8x releases, in that. TNT need to up their game and keep the UNIVERSAL binary, as this TNT release still gets emulated by Rosetta which slows it down a tad

MacPaw state in their release notes “Moving with the times, CleanMyMac X adds native support for the new Macs with M1 chip”

is this working for M1 Macs?

  163. Black Baron says:

4.4.7 seems to work so far. Still some very hot CPU phases by previewing web pages in localhost. Safari seems to have some heavy RAM overload problems. I use CMMX to free RAM space whenever CPU gets hot and fans are spinning like crazy.

    • Black Baron says:

Still using 4.4.7 and checking out in disk permissions and launch services who does the better jobs. This CMMX or Disk Utility?

  171. it is what is says:

pup means “potentially unwanted program”. it does not means it contains something bad. tnt changes the app with all features enabled and sign it themselves afterward. Avast sees the signature and spits out the message and quarantines the files. All pirated apps must be somehow modified to work as paid.

  172. fightforfreedom says:

    working fine without codesign. thanks!
