I don’t think they can make a patch for running Photoshop (or Lightroom Classic) natively on an M1 Mac without having an M1 Mac. Macs with an M1 processor are relatively new. You might be able to run Photoshop with Rosetta 2, which translates x86 machine code into machine code the processor and operating system can read. You have to right-click on the app, click Get Info, and checkmark Open using Rosetta.

No, there isnt that option on every app, that one included. So you cant choose the app to run it under Rosetta 2 sadly…

Strange, it’s a universal app, which means it contains Intel and ARM code.

I have the Rosetta option, but it just immediately crashes. Wont even let me launch it if I don’t select Rosetta

Adobe must have changed something if it doesn’t open using Rosetta. Try using a previous version of Photoshop on your M1 Mac.

Yep, Lightroom isnot fixed. Develop module can be opened only if you open the connection via LS. Grrr, and I hoped the wait was worth it.

You shouldn’t be blocking the entire application from making outgoing connections.

Interesting. Well I always did. So you saying something should be opened? Ony for Lightroom or for all apps? Which port should be open then?

You should block endpoints with the hosts file.

MBP 2019 15″ over here.

Lightroom 10.2 still not opening since 6.0.9 and even in 6.1.0. Opens to the adobe splash screen and then quits.

Any help you can guide me to fix it?

Uninstall, then install Lightroom again.

The workaround is as follows:
Uninstall, install, open the app, start trial, exit application, then patch.

No problem! Hopefully they fix the problem because what if you need to uninstall and install again and the trial has ended? Will it open after patching? I don’t know.
