It seems to work fine with MacOs Ventura, but Touch ID does not work at all.
When trying to unlock 1 password, every time I get a message that says that the master password I required to use Touch ID.
I have Touch ID enables both on my Mac and in the 1 password settings, and even after typing in the master password, it will still ask for it next time.
Is there any way to fix this?

Anyone can not use touch id here?

  3. MrBacon says:

This version is still 7.9.4, please update to version 8

  4. Mac says:

1Password 8 doesn’t have the ability to sync with third party services. I don’t think the release group will be able to crack 1Password 8 to sync with a 1Password account. You’ll have to switch to an alternative password manager.

  5. MrBacon says:

    1Password version 8 please

  6. mohamad says:

please 8.0 beta as there is a lot of new features.

Dropbox sync or icloud sync not working on macos monterey. The app crashes even after SIP disabled.

  10. Dinesh Palli says:

How to install this? I can not find the one password application after installing the .dmg.

  11. gc84 says:

The app just crashes on Monterey (12.1) when attempting to load vault from iCloud.

    please update this

Has anyone able to get it working with MacOS Monterey (12.0.1). My working 1Password stopped working when I updated to Monterey. now I am not able to install any version here. Please guide

  16. smailpouri says:

Won’t work on macOS 12.0.1 with SIP disabled

    It’s not work..

    1. it is showing resource is busy
  19. Mac says:

I just realized that iCloud Sync doesn’t work correctly. iCloud Sync is enabled on iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc. but it doesn’t sync with the other devices even when it says it synced ___ ago. Try it for yourself – delete an account on your Mac, then see if it deletes on your iPhone or iPad.

  20. Mac says:

If you’re installing 1Password 7.7 on macOS Big Sur, the installer will fail, but the application will open and every feature will work.

  21. Mac says:

I can confirm that 1Password 7.7 works fully featured when SIP is disabled. iCloud Sync and all the browser extensions including Safari work correctly.

  22. Deneme says:

Attention! This file have in Malware…

  23. Mac says:

This release seems to require System Integrity Protection (SIP) to be disabled, which is something I am not willing to do anymore. It’s strange that the release group made the decision to make it available as soon as possible instead of sitting on it for a couple of days to make it work while SIP is enabled. iCloud Sync and the Safari Extension didn’t work with 1Password 7.6 with SIP enabled, but Folder Sync and the Google Chrome extension worked with SIP enabled. I don’t know if the Safari extension and iCloud Sync works with SIP disabled as I’ve never tested it. CleanMyMac scanned the DMG file and it detected a PUP, but I believe it’s a false positive. I’m starting to think I should pay for a standalone fee for the application instead of pirating it.

    • Dinesh Palli says:

I am using m1 MBp and I installed it even after CleanMyMac reported it as PUA. I could not find the application. I could neither see 1password nor the PUA file installed. I dont know what to do to uninstall this. Please help.

  24. Kai says:

    Hi.
I am on macOS Big Sur and I get an error saying “1Password could not open because of a problem”
it says something about not being compatible even though I am on then correct version.
I tried re-installing it multiple times and restarted my Mac but nothing works.

    • kind passerby says:

There will be a zip file that comes together with it after installing and receiving the fail message. Unzip it and overwrite the app in the app folder. Then type

      codesign -f -s - --deep /Applications/1Password\ 7.app

in your terminal, but you need to install commandline tools first.

      • Debel says:

No Zip file came with it. Can you please upload it on mega and send me a link? I really need it please

        • Mac says:

I don’t know what that user is talking about, but the installer puts the existing installation of the app in a ZIP file in case you need to go back to that version. Extracting the ZIP isn’t necessary to codesign the application you’re installing.

      • vincenzo says:

but synchronization not work with cloud why? solution??

        • Mac says:

You’d have to disable SIP (at the moment) to have a fully featured password manager. In order to disable SIP, you have to reboot your Mac into Recovery mode, open Terminal from the Utilities context menu, then type csrutil disable and reboot. I don’t recommend disabling SIP.

          • vincenzo says:

sure but disabling the system integrity protection means removing the defenses to the operating system, and you are more at risk. the first cracked versions worked without disabling it

          • Mac says:

This is a fallacy. Any operating system is vulnerable to attack regardless of what protections the developer puts in place. I haven’t had any problems while SIP is enabled or disabled. 1Password used to work fully featured without disabling SIP, but that changed when Apple started to require developers to implement changes in their apps and with the release of Big Sur, Apple put more security measures in place. 1Password 7.6 works with SIP enabled, but the Safari extension and iCloud Sync don’t work. You used to be able to disable SIP, install the cracked application, then enable it again, but Apple doesn’t allow it anymore. TNT might not even be able to crack 1Password in a way that would allow SIP to be enabled and a working Chrome extension as with the previous version.

      • Kai says:

I try to do that but it says permission denied.
I don’t know anything about app signing or any of that, so I don’t know what to do.(I installed command line tools and then restarted)

Also there is no zip. could you pleas upload it somewhere?

        • Vgupt says:

It worked fine for a while and then I got the same error. Where is the zip file? Can someone upload it please?

          • Mac says:

The installer puts the existing installation of the app in a ZIP file in case you need to go back to that version. Extracting the ZIP isn’t necessary to codesign the application you’re trying to install.

        • Mac says:

You need to use ‘sudo’ like this:

          sudo codesign -f -s - --deep /Applications/1Password\ 7.app

Browser extensions don’t work and iCloud Sync doesn’t work.

      • Mac says:

This is only a workaround to get the application to open. iCloud Sync and Browser Extensions don’t work. SIP has to be disabled.

  25. Kai says:

Could you please update to 7.7?
It won’t let me update from the app

  26. Brandon says:

    Please update to 1Password 7.7

  27. Pasa says:

    Hello guys,

I downloaded this app – from this site – a while ago. I really like it. Especially for Safari-Browser user I really recommend buying this app. Since I paid for a membership, the Safari extension is working flawless.

    ~pasa

  28. Debel says:

Please update this app not working well anymore

  29. Kai says:

Is there a way to get iCloud working?

    • Mac says:

If you’re referring to 1Password 7.6 or 7.7, you can disable SIP or you can use Folder Sync with iCloud Drive and WLAN Server to sync iOS devices. Safari Extension will never work without SIP disabled. 1Password 7.7 currently doesn’t open without SIP disabled, but I think TNT is working on it.

  30. Nachum says:

Does it just gives me the option to use the app as a free user or use the Premium features?

  31. Quincy says:

Please tell me howcome everytime I install it and open the app, it closes automatically with a message “1Password 7 quit unexpectedly.”
